my initial request for Audible's application: bookmark portability! I'd like to have my notes and bookmarks synced over the web in the same way they are in the amazon kindle
it's a great deal of investment in time and thought to listen to an audio book and input your thoughts and highlights (bookmarks) only to lose them if & when… you lose your phone, if you delete the book off the device, there's an SD card problem, etc. I find this uncertainty, insecurity terrifying!
more broadly, I'd like to benefit more broadly from my time spent using the Audible application… having these notes accessible…

by one way or another I've lost the .playback_position files for X or audiobooks, totaling Y hours (really, I don't want to try to count the X and calculate Y)
what's lost by not yet providing this feature (in addition to customer good will - see above) is in fact more sales! if someone's lost their records of having been through a book, well, there's more reason to listen to it again! and that's time that they might have spent listening to something new (purchased from Audible).
